Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a bold claim, asserting that the I.N.D.I.A. coalition represents a significant 60% of the country’s population, surpassing the influence of the BJP. During his visit to Mizoram to campaign for party candidates in the upcoming Assembly Elections, Gandhi raised concerns about the BJP’s alleged utilization of Mizoram’s key political players, the Mizo National Front and the Zoram People’s Movement, to gain a foothold in the Christian-majority state.

Rahul Gandhi’s Assertion: I.N.D.I.A. Coalition’s Substantial Representation

He pledged that if Congress comes to power in Mizoram, it would introduce a monthly pension of Rs 2,000 for the elderly, provide gas cylinders for Rs 750, and support entrepreneurs.

Rahul Gandhi emphasized that the opposition alliance stands committed to safeguarding Indian values, the constitutional framework, and the freedom of expression, fostering unity irrespective of religion or culture, ultimately upholding the concept of India.
