Harish Rawat, the former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, suffered injuries in a car accident late at night on October 24. The incident occurred when his vehicle collided with a divider in Kashipur, resulting in chest injuries. Rawat was en route from Haldwani to Kashipur at the time of the accident. His Personal Security Officer (PSO) and other associates accompanying him also sustained injuries, primarily on their hands and heads.
Rawat Rushed to Hospital After Car Collision in Kashipur
Following the collision, Rawat was promptly transported to a nearby first aid center. After receiving initial medical attention, he was referred to a larger hospital. In Kashipur, Harish Rawat was taken to KVR Hospital by his CO Bhupendra Singh Bhandari, where doctors conducted a CT scan and other medical tests. Reports suggest that Rawat briefly lost consciousness and experienced chest pain after the accident.
The former Chief Minister was reportedly on his way to Kashipur for a press conference. Fortunately, his driver and security personnel narrowly escaped injury. Following treatment, Harish Rawat has been discharged from the hospital, and his condition is being closely monitored.
