Rajasthan BJP leader Sandeep Dayma faces a significant setback as the party has expelled him following his controversial comments made during a recent rally in the Tijara constituency. Dayma came under scrutiny for remarks made about Gurudwara and Mosque during the nomination rally of party candidate Baba Balaknath. Punjab BJP Mahila Morcha chief Jai Inder Kaur filed a police complaint against Dayma, and former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has called for strict action against him.
BJP Expels Rajasthan Leader Sandeep Dayma
Omkar Singh Lakhawat, chairman of the BJP Rajasthan disciplinary committee, stated, “Sandeep Dayma has been expelled from the party on the instructions of the state president for giving a statement against the ideology of the party.” Dayma’s comments, delivered in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, suggested that existing mosques and gurudwaras should be uprooted, a statement that generated widespread criticism.
Despite Dayma’s subsequent apology, the Rajasthan BJP unit recognizes the need to prevent a recurrence of such behavior. Sunil Jakhar, in a social media post, underlines the importance of exploring all options to address the damage caused by these insensitive remarks and the public resentment they have generated.
