Addressing a public rally in Rajasthan’s Dungarpur district, Shah expressed concern over the comments made by DMK leaders, including the son of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, regarding the abolition of Sanatan Dharma for the sake of vote bank and appeasement politics. He emphasized the cultural and historical significance of Sanatan Dharma and denounced the alleged insult it had faced.
Shah also touched upon other political issues, including previous statements made by Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi regarding budget allocations and Hindu organizations. He asserted that the India alliance could go to great lengths to pursue vote bank politics and appeasement politics but assured that the values of Sanatan Dharma held a special place in the hearts of the people.
Shah Emphasizes Cultural Significance of Sanatan Dharma Amidst Vote Bank Politics
Regarding the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Shah pointed out that the Congress, a key component of the opposition alliance, had delayed its construction for years. He highlighted that the temple’s foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Modi after the Supreme Court’s decision, and a grand Ram temple would soon be erected on the same sacred land.
Shah affirmed that the opposition alliance could not hinder the temple’s construction, stating that their previous attempts had been in vain. He also took the opportunity to criticize the government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan.
