Xiaomi has launched the flagship smartphone series in its home country China, the Xiaomi 15. The new lineup includes Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro, which makes it the first smartphone lineup to be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Apart from this, Xiaomi continues to feature Leica cameras at the back and some essential upgrades over its predecessor Xiaomi 14 series.

Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15: Specifications At A Glance
The standard Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch 1.5k OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3200 nits peak brightness. As mentioned, it is powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and runs the latest Xiaomi HyperOS 2. For photography, it features a Leica-tuned 50MP Light Fusion 900 sensor, 50MP Ultra-wide lens, and 50MP telephoto camera. It also supports 8K video recording. For selfies and video calls, it gets a 32MP front camera with 4k video recording at 60 fps. One of the crucial upgrades is the battery as it packs a 5400mAh battery with 90W charging.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15 Pro features a 6.73-inch 2K micro-curved OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The main difference is in terms of battery and the cameras as the Xiaomi 15 Pro packs a larger 6100mAh battery. Talking about the cameras, it brings a 50MP Light Hunter 900 primary camera along with a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera and a 50MP Sony IMX858 5X periscope lens.
Both the models get an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Xiaomi 15 comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage as a based variant which costs CNY 4,499 (approx. Rs 53,108), while the premium Xiaomi 15 Pro is launched at a starting price of CNY 5,299 (Rs 62,551) for 12GB + 256GB model.
