New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has once again reiterated its support for the central government to take appropriate action against Pakistan following attack on tourists in Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir last week. At least 26 tourists were killed when terrorists opened fore on them at the meadows. Dozens other were also injured in the attack.
Meanwhile, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has said Modi government should take strong action to avenge Pahalgam attack. He said his party is with the government and soldiers are needed on the borders.
‘India face double challenge’
India faces double challenge of both China and Pakistan and If we eye Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, then we will also have to deal with China, Akhilesh Yadav said according to a report in TV9 Bharatvarsh.
Akhilesh further said that he is also ready to talk on the issue of Rana Sanga on an open platform.
“There are 24 assembly seats vacant in POK. This army (Karni Sena) people who are roaming and terrorising people should go to the Kashmir border and get the elections conducted there,” the SP chief said.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also said that the question is not whose house I am going to and whose house I am not going to, the question is how did terrorists enter our house?.
He also said that no one from the government went to see the victims in the hospital. “The government wants to divert attention on Pahalgam attack issue. The families of the martyrs are venting their anger on the MPs and ministers of this government. No one came to inquire about the dead for one-and-a-half hours. No one went to see the victims in the hospital. And we are claiming to be Vishwaguru. Those who want to make the country secular and socialist have been labelled as communal. Their entire party is running on the British formula of divide and rule, Akhilesh Yadav said while slamming the government on handling the Pahalgam attack issue.
Akhilesh demands Rs 10 crore compensation
Akhilesh Yadav strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and called it the result of security lapse and intelligence failure. He also demanded strict action and strengthening of security by the central government. Akhilesh also demanded Rs 10 crore compensation and government jobs to the kin of the victims.
He also supported government decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan and said that SP will fully support any step like ‘water ban’.
