New Delhi: In this digital era, everything seems to be moving online. From financial transactions to romantic relationships, the Internet has become a convenient platform to simplify our lives. But, is it really so? It wouldn’t be wrong to say that scammers have also taken the digital route and many people around the world are falling victim to their schemes. One such story is Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare.
The shocking documentary narrates the tale of a years-long online relationship that takes an unexpected turn. Based on the chart-topping 2021 podcast series, Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare exposes the world of lies and manipulation that shook the digital space. It also reveals the dark side of online dating.
For the unversed, Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare revolves around former radio presenter Kirat Assi, who began dating Bobby Jandu on Facebook in 2010. As time passed, her feelings for him deepened, although the two never met in real life. Bobby always had excuses to avoid in-person meetings with Kirat. His behavior led to suspicion and ultimately Kirat hired a private investigator to find the truth.
Who is Simran Bhogal?
However, when she investigated further, Kirat discovered she had been the victim of catfishing. Shockingly, the person behind the scam was her own cousin, identified as Simran Bhogal.
According to timesnownews.com, citing reports from Cosmopolitan, Simran left her job at Barclays, where she was reportedly working as vice president. Simran is now believed to be living in North West London with her family. Her online presence appears to be minimal. At the same time, there is no official confirmation of the same yet.
