New Delhi: Actress Radhika Apte left everyone in surprise when she announced her pregnancy by flaunting her baby bump on the red carpet of the British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival. The actress made a striking appearance in an off-shoulder black body-hugging dress. For those who are not aware, she has been married to British musician Benedict Taylor since 2012 and now, after 12 years of marriage, the couple is set to embrace parenthood.

When Radhika Apte was working in several films and series during early 2000, her husband Benedict Taylor started to work as a vocalist, violinist and composer. He has also composed music for Indian films such as Udta Punjab, Heeramandi, Ghoul, Killer Soup, Ghost Stories, Newton, and Laal Kaptaan, and others. His most notable work is Ship of Thesus, for which he collaborated with the guitarist, Naren Chandavarkar. In fact, the duo even worked together on Anurag Kashyap’s film, That Girl in Yellow Boots (2010).
The couple often navigate between Mumbai and London due to their career but try to get together for creative collaborations whenever they can.
In an interview a few years back, Radhika revealed that their decision to marry was very organic because they couldn’t stay away from each other and the actress wanted to get rid of the visa hassle.
