Name surprise in oath invitation
The invitation card for oath taking ceremony has a surprising detail. This time, the invitation cards names Devendra Fadnavis as ‘Devendra Sarita Gangadharrao Fadnavis’ incorporating the name of CM designate’s mother and father. Sarita is the name of Devendra Fadnavis mother, while his father’s name is Gangadhar Fadnavis, said a report in NDTV.
The invitation was issued by Maharashtra Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik. This is said to be the first time that the BJP leader has used his mother’s name in an official document. Devendra Fadnavis had the name of his father in the invitation for oath taking in both 2014 and 2019. But there was no mention of his mother’s name in the two previous invitations.
