Weather Update: Heavy Rain Forecast Across Several States

The monsoon has become active across the country, bringing substantial rainfall to many states. Delhi, the national capital, experienced heavy rainfall this morning. The Meteorological Department (IMD) continues to provide regular updates regarding the rain.

IMD has released its forecast for July 25, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Coastal Karnataka. This rainfall pattern is expected to continue into the following day. A yellow alert has been issued for Delhi, Mumbai, and Himachal Pradesh.

Similarly, weather forecasting agency Skymet has also issued its forecast for July 25. According to Skymet, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, and Eastern Rajasthan over the next 24 hours. The monsoon line has shifted northwards to its normal position, resulting in expected good rainfall in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan over the next 4-5 days. This rainfall will provide relief from the sweltering heat.

MP Heavy Rain Alert

In Madhya Pradesh, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in some areas, with heavy rainfall expected at specific locations. Over the next 12-18 hours, districts such as Panna, Raisen, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sehore, Seoni, Shahdol, Shajapur, Sheopur, Kundeshwar Dham, Sidhi, Singrauli, Tikamgarh, Ujjain, Umaria, Vidisha, Balaghat, Barwani, Betul, Bhind, Bhopal, Burhanpur, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Damoh, Datia, Dewas, Dhar, Dindori, Guna, Gwalior, Harda, Narmadapuram, Indore, Jabalpur, Jhabua, Katni, Khandwa (East Nimar), Khargone (West Nimar), Mandla, Mandsaur, Morena, Narsinghpur, Neemuch, Agar Malwa, Alirajpur, Anuppur, and Ashoknagar are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms with strong winds (30-40 km/h). There is also a possibility of lightning strikes in these areas.
