New Delhi: Extremely heavy rainfall warning has been issued by the IMD for several states including Maharashtra and Gujarat for today. The weather office has forecast enhanced rainfall activity in central, east and northeast India during next two to three days.
According to IMD, heavy rainfall is predicted in Goa during the week and light to moderate rainfall in Maharashtra and Gujarat during the next three days. Goa has been witnessing heavy rainfall for the past three days. The incessant shower has left the popular tourist destination waterlogged.
Rainfall warning for these states
The Met Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall in northeast India during the next seven days. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in east India during the week. There is possibility of heavy to very heavy
rainfall in West Bengal and Sikkim on Friday and heavy rainfall on September 28 and October 2, according to the IMD.
Heavy rainfall is also predicted in Bihar and Jharkhand on Friday. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya are also expected to receive rainfall this week.
The IMD has predicted ight to moderate rainfall over central India during the next three days. Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh may also experience rainfall during the next three days. Heavy shower may also lash Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on September 28 and 29 and Kerala and Karnataka till September 30.
Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted a partly cloudy sky in Delhi on Friday with light rain or drizzle.
