New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday inaugurated the central office of the Student Experience in Inter-state Living (SEIL) project, under the aegis of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), at Bal Bhavan in New Delhi. The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries, ABVP leaders, and volunteers associated with the SEIL initiative.
Speaking at the event, Dr Bhagwat emphasised the need to “decolonise our mindset” in order to achieve a truly progressive India. “Our country is going through changes. The world is tired these days and is now looking at Bharat—for santosh and sadhna,” he said, underlining the country’s growing spiritual and cultural influence on the world level.
‘Youth possess energy and intent’
Highlighting ABVP’s growth, Bhagwat said that the organisation now boasts 58 lakh members across the country. “The new generation wants to make India a developed country. It is heartening to know there is enthusiasm in them. Utsah (exuberance) hai, parishram ki chamata (capacity for hard work) hai,” he said.
Dr Bhagwat stressed that while the youth possess energy and intent, they need proper guidance. “They only need direction, and for that, focus is needed. And focus requires unity. Even science is coming towards that realisation,” he added.
The SEIL project is ABVP’s flagship national integration initiative, aimed at fostering cultural exchange and inter-state understanding among students from diverse regions of the country. The central office inaugurated on Tuesday will serve as the nerve centre for coordinating this effort.
