New Delhi: Prime Minister chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday and reviewed progress in the several initiatives started by his government. During the meeting, the Prime Minister asked his ministers to interact with the people more closely and focus completely on their problems.
According to sources to TV9 Network, the Prime Minister raised the new slogan of ‘We are citizens’ servants’ during the meeting. He also asked ministers to spend 48 hours is aspiring districts. Apart from this, the PM asked his ministers to reserve one day to resolve the complaints of the people. Three presentations were showed before the Prime Minister in the meeting. Among them include the consumer pattern of the middle class in India, the second presentation was on technology, while the third one was on security and foreign policy.
Cabinet approves ‘One Nation, One Election’ policy in previous meeting
Earlier on September 18, the Cabinet had approved the proposal for ‘One Nation, One Election’ . The suggestions were made by a panel led by former President Ramnath Kovind. The cabinet held a long discussion before accepting the proposal. Notably, Home Minister Amit Shah too had earlier said that the the ‘One Nation, One Election’ will be implemented in the current tenure of the NDA Government. The BJP had also included, the proposal in its manifesto for 2024 elections.
PM Modi held several meetings in August
Since assuming office for the third successive term, PM Modi held several meetings in August. On one of such meetings, PM Modi had announced major proposals for Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Haryana. After this meeting, PM Modi also held separate meetings with Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
