New Delhi: ISKCON, in partnership with the Adani Group, has geared up to provide meals to lakhs of devotees at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj through a state-of-the-art mega kitchen. Known as the Mahaprasad Seva, it aims to serve over one lakh people daily for the 45-day event.
Located on Harshvardhan Marg, the mega kitchen can prepare meals for 30,000–35,000 people in a single session. With three daily sessions, over one lakh people receive freshly prepared meals every day. The food includes wholesome dishes such as dal, chole or rajma, vegetables, roti, rice, and sweets like halwa or laddu, all cooked traditionally on clay stoves using wood and cow dung cakes for an authentic taste.

“We have a wonderful experience and attachment with ISKCON. And even when we are thinking, what we can do from a Kumbh Mela standpoint, and when it was about the Prasadam, then immediately, the first thought was that the institution which can do it in the best manner is ISKCON,” he said while talking about the Group’s partnership with ISKCON.
Videos on social media show the scale and precision of the operation. From preparing dough in massive quantities to the methodical cooking of curries and sweets. ISKCON’s kitchens, located at Khusrobagh, Netra Kumbh, and Sector 19, have become the heart of this initiative.
