This is one of the first right hand drive Hummer EVs and since it is right hand drive, it can be easily imported to India. The first one to come is in Chennai and it can been seen being chased by the likes of Lambos. The torque from the electric motors lift the front wheels off like a drag car.
The GMC Hummer EV is an all electric SUV which can be either had in a 2-motor version or a 3-motor version, the latter producing 1000 bhp. It weighs nearly 4.5 tones and it will do 0-100 kmph with that mass in a mere 3.2 seconds which is astonishing for a vehicle of its weight and size. Depending on the version, it can do between 450 to 613 kms on a full charge which is quite respectable but it features a 246.8 kWh battery pack, which is huge by any electric car standards.
The right hand conversion has been done by Autogroup International which is a company based out of Sri Lanka and Australia and specialize in these conversion. They have been converting old Hummer H2’s and H3’s for decades to make these cars compliant with right hand drive nations like India. They have a wide range of vehicles that they convert to right hand drive including Ford Super Duty pick-ups, GMC and Chevy pick-ups and even the new Toyota Tundra TRD.
