Opposition’s rose, Tricolour protest on Adani issue
Several opposition MPs greeted their BJP counterparts in the Parliament premises with the tricolour in one hand and a red rose in the other, urging the ruling party to ensure the smooth functioning of the House and to address all issues, including the Adani controversy.
This demonstration is the latest in a series of creative daily protests spearheaded by the Congress over the Adani matter.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with MPs from the Congress, DMK, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), and Left parties, gathered at the Makar Dwar steps. Many carried small tricolour cards and red roses, symbolising their appeal for dialogue and cooperation in the Parliament.
The opposition MPs expressed their intent to present the tricolours and roses to their BJP counterparts as a gesture of goodwill, urging them to ensure discussions on pressing matters, including the Adani issue.
Additionally, several MPs held placards bearing slogans like “Don’t let the country be sold,” highlighting their demand for accountability and transparency.
