New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has taken to the skies of Egypt, showcasing India’s growing aviation capabilities at the inaugural Egypt International Airshow. The event, held at the strategically located Al-Alamein International Airport, has become a stage for the IAF’s renowned Sarang helicopter display team to mesmerise global audiences.
The Sarang team, renowned for their precision and breathtaking aerial manoeuvres, has been captivating attendees with their performance featuring the indigenous ‘Dhruv’ Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH Mk-I). These multi-role, multi-mission helicopters are manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The Sarang contingent, comprising five Dhruv helicopters, was airlifted to Egypt by C-17 Globemaster aircraft to participate in the event.
