New Delhi: A teacher based out of Delhi taught her students the concept of “arm span-to-height ratio”. The video of the simple activity garnered the attention of the internet. Netizens swiftly commented on the clip, garnering millions of views for the clip.
Sapna, a primary class teacher, shared the video on her Instagram page. In the clip, the teacher was seen positioning her one arm towards the board and the other towards the ground. She then asked a student to mark the length of the hand stretched in alignment with the blackboard. The teacher then stood up to show that her height matched the point marked on the board. The demonstration showed that the length of her outstretched arm was equal to her height. Soon after several students came forward and the teacher continued to depict the theory. This concept, also known as the one-to-one arm span-to-height ratio, amused the students.

Meanwhile, the video too garnered the attention of the internet. While the concept was new to some, others were just impressed by the demonstration. They lauded the teacher’s practical teaching approach. One wrote, “This is the method used by ACHARYA CHARAK for measurement of body length.” Another netizen commented, “We should appreciate the concept and not the result. The students will learn automatically.” A third individual explained that the length might vary by about 2 cm after the age of eleven.
