Vistara’s Mumbai-Frankfurt flight diverted to Turkey over security reasons

New Delhi: Vistara Airlines on Friday announced that its Mumbai-Frankfurt flight, which was diverted to Turkey due to security concerns. The flight landed safely at Erzurum Airport in eastern Turkey.

The passengers and cabin crew onboard were safely evacuated. An alert cabin crew member spotted a written bomb threat and immediately notified the authorities, triggering a security response. As a precautionary measure, security agencies conducted a thorough check of the aircraft.

Sharing on X, the airline wrote, “Flight UK27 from Mumbai to Frankfurt (BOM-FRA) has been diverted to Turkey (Erzurum airport) due to security reasons and has landed safely at 1905 hours. Please stay tuned for further updates.”
