New Delhi: New Zealand beat India by 113 runs in the second Test match at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Saturday, October 26. Indian batters struggled to score runs against Kiwis spinners at home. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan were dismissed by Santner.
The Indian star batter Virat Kohli once again failed to score runs in both innings of the Test match. He scored just one run in the first innings, and he was batting on 17 along with Washington Sundar in the second innings. He missed a short delivery from Santner which kept low and hit his back pad.
The on-field umpire raised his fingers as New Zealand fielders appealed for a Leg Before Wicket (LBW). Kohli thought the ball missed the leg stump and reviewed the decision. But the replays showed that the ball clipped his leg stump and Kohli had to walk back to the dressing room. He was furious with himself for getting out cheaply again and smashed the ice box in anger on his way to the dressing room.
Virat was totally disappointed with the decision of Umpire Decision 🥲💔

Mitchell Santner took 13 wickets in the second Test and helped his team to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Chasing the 359 runs target, India resumed the third session at 178/7 but lost the remaining three wickets and got bundled out for 245 runs, marking their first home series defeat since 2012.
