After reaching there they were forced to cover the rest of the journey in Tujur village by foot, due to lack of proper roads. After reaching Khaleda village, they kept the body in a coffin and covered the rest of the distance.

Notably, the villagers had informed the local MLA, MP, and other officials several times about the matter and urged them to the proper road, however, the problem has not yet been resolved. It may be noted that this wasn’t the first that such kinds of incidents were reported in the state.

Such kinds of incidents were reported earlier too

Earlier too, Shanti Kujur Kujur, the ailing wife of Remish Minj, was taken to a hospital by her family members carrying her on shoulders in the Latehar district of the state. The villagers were forced to carry her on a cot, in the absence of a road. Unfortunately, the ailing woman died on the way before she reached the hospital.

In another incident last month, a video of man forced to carry the body of his sister on his shoulder had gone viral. The man from Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri was forced to carry his sister’s body due to floods.
