Video: Jyotiraditya Scindia joins Janmashtami festivities in Gwalior

New Delhi: In a display of religious devotion and community engagement, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia participated in the vibrant Janmashtami celebrations in Gwalior. Joining the “Chal Yatra” march, a traditional procession organised by the Yadav community, Scindia offered prayers to Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu, whose birth is celebrated on this auspicious day.

 

Scindia began his day by performing a puja at a temple, extending his wishes to all countrymen and devotees for a happy and prosperous life.

Earlier in the day Scindia wished all the countrymen on the occasion of Janmashtanami. “Hearty congratulations to all the countrymen and devotees on the birth anniversary of Devaki Nandan Lord Shri Krishna. On this auspicious occasion, I pray to Lord Krishna for a happy life for all the countrymen,” he wrote on X.

From the grand decorations of the Govind Dev Ji temple in Jaipur, Rajasthan, to the unique 31-gun salute, the festival is observed with distinct traditions across India. The accession is celebrated with vibrant decorations, melodious music and religious fervour across the country.
