New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Mumbai’s Andheri where a drunk man drove with his body outside the vehicle, while holding the steering wheel and performing stunt on a road. While doing so, he rammed his vehicle into a parked car.
A video of the incident surfaced and went viral on social media. The Andheri police took cognisance of the video which was widely circulated. They arrested the 26-year-old man for drunk driving and performing stunts, which resulted in him crashing his vehicle into a parked car in Andheri East.
The 26-year-old man, Suraj Jhaman Saav, is a resident of Virar. He operates a tourist vehicle. After a medical examination at Cooper Hospital, accused Saav was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred in the wee hours (12.30 am) of July 30 near Dragon Flyover on Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road in Andheri East.
Harmeetsingh Madan, whose sedan was damaged, gave video evidence of the incident to the police. The police said that in the footage, the accused can be seen doing a stunt, while leaning out of the vehicle and holding on to the steering wheel. He lost control and rammed into the parked car.
