Hapur: Several people were injured after at least 7 vehicles collided with each other due to dense fog on the Delhi-Lucknow highway stretch in Hapur on Friday morning.
The accident led to massive traffic jams on the highway which is already witnessing slow vehicular movement due to zero visibility conditions.
Visuals from the spot showed the extent of the multi-vehicle crash on the highway that was engulfed in a thick layer of fog. Local police arrived the the spot and used cranes to remove the wrecked cars off the road to resume traffic movement.

Dense fog in north India
Dense fog blanketed north India including the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) region, reducing visibility to near zero and causing delays to over 150 flights and around 26 trains.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for moderate to very dense fog in several parts of North India, including Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
In recent weeks, thick fog in North India has led to the cancellation or delay of hundreds of flights and trains.
