Dehradun: Although the monsoon is expected to linger for another week in Uttarakhand, the intensity of rainfall has decreased, leading to a rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures across most areas of the state.
On Sunday, Dehradun experienced a maximum temperature that was four degrees above normal due to bright sunshine, making the heat quite uncomfortable for residents. However, some mountainous regions in the Garhwal division enjoyed slight relief from the heat due to light cloud cover.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected over the next three days. Dr. Bikram Singh, Director of the Dehradun Meteorological Center, mentioned that after two days of dry weather, rain is likely in the state. Between 21 and 24 September, light to moderate rain may occur in Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts. The weather is expected to remain dry in the remaining districts.
