Dehradun: Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who flagged off a group of 157 toppers of the high school examination- 2024 for the Bharat Darshan educational tour on Monday, hoped that that the educational tour program will give a new dimension to the thinking of the students, besides their personality development.
At a function organized at the directorate of education, Nanurkheda, Dhami said that the meritorious students will also make the countrymen aware about the specialty of Uttarakhand during the tour program.
Education tour programme for the state’s topper students
In line with the Chief Minister’s announcement, the Education Department has started an educational tour program for the meritorious students of the high school and the intermediate at the block level. Under this programme, a total of 157 topper students of High School Examination 2024 were selected.
Student will tour the places of historical and educational importance
The state government is sending meritorious students of the board examinations on an education tour of the places of historical, educational importance in the country’s different states. The first team is going to tour historical places of Himachal, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Delhi.
Dhami highlights major decision taken by his government
CM Dhami also highlighted major decisions taken by his government in the state. He said that Uttarakhand is taking such decisions today which are proving to be the best practice for the entire country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also encouraged the state government by mentioning these decisions in his video address on November 9. The Prime Minister has termed it as a great Yagya of development in Uttarakhand.
Students, who participate in tour programme, will play the role of brand ambassador
Dhami also said that this tour will add a new chapter to the education system of Uttarakhand. Wherever the students go during this period, they should present themselves as brand ambassadors of Uttarakhand. Therefore, all students should carry information about the holy rivers, temples, weather, and tourist places of Uttarakhand.
Students may invite pilgrims for winter yatra
He said that after the doors of Char Dhams are closed for the winter, now one can have darshan of God at the winter seats. He added the state government has started the winter yatra. The students included in the group can invite pilgrims at the winter seats.
