Dehradun: On the call of All India Congress Committee, Congress Party will start nationwide agitation on Adani mega scam and other national issues. In Uttarakhand too, the party is preparing for agitation on a large scale. An important meeting of the general secretaries, state in-charges and state presidents of the Indian National Congress was held in Delhi under the chairmanship of Congress party’s national president Mallikarjun Khadke and in the presence of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday.
During this meeting, three major issues were discussed
In the Congress meeting, topics like the Hindenburg report, caste census, social and economic justice were discussed in detail. Uttarakhand Congress state president Karan Mahara informed that in the meeting, the demand for joint parliamentary committee (JPC) was reiterated on the revelations made in the latest Hindenburg report, in which there were allegations of partnership between industrialist Gautam Adani and SEBI chief.

Caste census by central government
According to Karan Mahara, the caste census by the central government was also discussed during the meeting and special focus was given to the rights of social and economic justice. Furthermore, all the state presidents have received some important guidelines from the national president and public mobilization campaigns will also be organized in different states regarding these three important issues very soon.
Congress will run a public movement
In the coming time, the Congress Party will run a public movement campaign regarding the revelations in the latest Hindenburg report, the national-wide caste census to be conducted by the Central Government and social and economic justice. Moreover, the Government of India has also been called upon to take every possible step to stop the attacks on economic minorities in Bangladesh and their places of worship and to enable them to live a life of security, respect and harmony. Besides, deep sorrow has also been expressed over the landslide tragedy in Wayanad, Kerala state.
Congress to hold countrywide demonstrations, protests, and public meetings on 22nd August
Senior Vice President of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Suryakant Dhasmana said in a press conference held at his camp office on Tuesday that National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi have discussed three main issues in a meeting and have decided to hold countrywide demonstrations, dharnas and public meetings on 22nd August.
