Dehradun: As preparations for the upcoming Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand are in full swing, the heli-services will commence on May 5 after the announcement of the portal opening date of Badrinath shrine.
This year, Char Dham Yatra will commence on April 30 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, and Badrinath portals will be opened on May 4. An official from Rudraksha aviation company confirmed that they have recieved 40 bookings so far along with multiple queries.
Rudraksh aviation’s helicopter services
Helicopters of the Heli company Rudraksh Aviation will fly from Jolly Grant helipad to Badrinath and Kedarnath starting May 5. The company started booking for both the Dhams from February 1. So far, about forty devotees have made their bookings, and many more are seeking information related to the Yatra from the company every day. This year too, as soon as preparations for the Char Dham Yatra started, the company began its booking for both the Dhams. With the doors of Badrinath opening on May 4, Rudraksh Aviation’s helicopter services will begin the next day.
Experience in flying MI 17 Helicopters
Rudraksh Aviation has been flying MI 17 helicopters to Badrinath and Kedarnath for the last two years. This year too, as soon as the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra began, the company initiated its booking for both the Dhams. The doors of Badrinath are opening on May 4, so Rudraksh Aviation’s helicopter services will start on May 5. The Helicopters will be placed at Jolly Grant helipad in the first week of May.
Booking during Monsoon season
Booking for both the Dhams from Jolly Grant is open until June 20. After that, when the rainy season starts, the helicopter service will be put on hold and will resume after the rains. According to company officials, many devotees have already sought information about the two Dhams. The company hopes that this year more devotees will come for the Char Dham Yatra compared to previous years.
