Dehradun: Following the attacks on Hindu community and the temples in Bangladesh, Badri-Kedar temple committee in Uttarakhand, on Tuesday, offered prayers in Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines, along with all the sub-ordinate temples managed by this committee in the state, for the safety of Hindus and temples in Bangladesh.
BKTC president expressed concern over demolition of temples
According to BKTC media in-charge Dr. Harish Gaur, BKTC president, Ajendra Ajay had expressed concern over the demolition of temples in Bangladesh and the atrocities being committed by Jihadi elements on Hindus and other minorities. In this context, prayers were organised today in all subordinate temples including Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath to protect the lives of Hindus in Bangladesh. To pray for the safety of the Hindus of Bangladesh and to give them the strength to deal with this calamity, special worship was organized in all the major temples under the temple committee today.
Chief priest, Rawal Amarnath Namboodri prayed in Badrinath
In Badrinath shrine, Rawal Amarnath Namboodri, Dharmadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal, Vedpathi Ravindra Bhatt performed special worship of Lord Badri-Vishal to protect the Hindus of Bangladesh from the atrocities being committed on them. While, BKTC Vice President, Kishore Panwar participated in the worship at Yoga Badri Temple, Pandukeshwar. On this occasion, prayers were offered for freedom from the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Kedarnath priest Shivshankar Linga also performed special prayers
In Kedarnath shrine, priest Shivshankar Linga and Dharmadhikari Omkar Shukla and Vedpathi Swayamvar Semwal performed Jalabhishek of Lord Kedarnath and recited Mahamrityunjay Paath. In Triyuginarayan Temple too, Lord Trijuginarayan was worshipped and prayers were offered for the protection of Bangladeshi Hindus. BKTC Manager Ajay Sharma and priests were present on this occasion.
Special prayers in Kalimath temple
In Kalimath, prayers were offered to eliminate the troubles in the lives of Bangladeshi Hindus by worshipping Goddess Kali. On this occasion, Manager Prakash Purohit and Vedpathi Ramesh Bhatt, etc. were present. In the third Kedar Tungnath, Lord Tungnathji was anointed with water and prayers were offered for relief from the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh. Prayers were also offered at the second Kedarnath Madmaheshwar, Shri Vishwanath Temple Guptkashi, Shri Narasimha Temple Joshimath, Sita Mata Temple Chaani Joshimath, Shri Gopal Temple Nandprayag, Maa Chandrabadni Temple Dehradun to seek relief from the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh.
