Uttar Pradesh: Failing the NEET exam twice, a girl student hangs herself to death

Gorakhpur: In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old woman died by suicide in her house after failing to clear the NEET exam twice. As per the police, the woman died by hanging herself on a ceiling. The police have taken custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem.

The girl’s father wanted to send her abroad

Sharing details, the police said the girl’s father wanted to send her abroad to become a doctor. However, when the result came she could not clear the NEET exam. As per the family, the deceased went to her room after having dinner. The next day, when she did not wake up till late, her brother knocked on the door of her room. After not finding any response for some time, the bother started looking into the room through the window. The girl was found hanging from the noose of the saree in the ceiling. Soon, after the brother then shouted and called all the family members. The family then broke open the room and called the police.

Body sent for post-mortem

After reaching the spot, the police took the body of the deceased in custody, after which it was sent for post-mortem. While the police suspected it to be a case of suicide, they did not find any suicide note on the spot. The girl had two brothers and one sister. While the elder brother is undergoing training in the merchant navy, her other brother studies at home. Her father works at a brick kiln.

As per her family, the deceased was very calm. She did not often go out of the house. Along with the family, the people around were also surprised at her death.
