New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in the children’s ward of a medical college in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi on Friday night after a cylinder exploded at the premises. The hospital authorities immediately alerted the fire department, and fire engines rushed to the scene to control the blaze.
Local administrative officials have also arrived at the location to monitor the situation. Preliminary reports suggest that several children have been injured and suffered burns due to the fire. Rescue operations are currently underway to evacuate those affected and extinguish the flames.
The exact cause of the explosion is still under investigation, and authorities are working to bring the situation under control.
