Union minister Jual Oram admitted to AIIMS Delhi after his health deteriorated

New Delhi: Union minister Jual Oram was on Monday night admitted to AIIMS Delhi after his health deteriorated. The minister was undergoing treatment for dengue. He is currently under the care of doctors and is reported to be in stable condition. He is being monitored by Dr. Anant Mohan, head of the Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders department. Jual Oram was admitted to the hospital at around 9pm.

Jual Oram’s wife dies of dengue

Jual Oram’s wife, Jhingia Oram, passed away this Sunday. She had been suffering from dengue and was receiving treatment at Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneswar. On Sunday, her condition worsened, and she passed away. After his condition worsened on Monday, he was admitted to the hospital.

A six-term Member of Parliament

A veteran and prominent leader in Odisha’s politics, Oram is serving as a Member of Parliament for the sixth time. Since 1998, he has been winning election from the Sundargarh seat, which is considered his stronghold. He also served as the Union minister for Tribal Affairs in the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
