New Delhi: The special initiative Highway Heroes Campaign, jointly launched by Shriram Finance and TV9 Network, is now moving to its next destination — Indore, Madhya Pradesh — for its second season. After successful events in cities like Nalagarh, Kanpur, Kalamboli, and Gandhidham, the campaign will be organized in Indore on April 29 and 30.
Massive participation of drivers in Gandhidham
At the two-day event in Gandhidham, hundreds of truck drivers took part. Through various sessions, they pledged to strengthen themselves mentally, physically, and financially. In addition, they received government-certified training through Skill India, earning a technical certificate equivalent to a 12th-grade qualification. This Level 4 certificate not only helps drivers renew their driving licenses but also assists them in obtaining visas for over 90 countries.
What will drivers receive in Indore?
At the Indore event, truck drivers will have access to sessions and facilities focused on their mental, physical, and financial health, along with government-certified technical training:
-
Health Check-ups and Yoga Sessions: The Apollo Healthcare team will conduct blood pressure, sugar, and eye tests. Yoga experts will teach simple exercises to relieve body stress after long journeys and promote mental peace.
-
Financial Literacy Session: Financial experts from NSE will guide drivers on smart money management, protecting against cyber fraud, and precautions for online transactions.
-
TB Awareness Session: Experts from Piramal Swasthya will educate drivers on the symptoms, prevention, and treatment of tuberculosis, encouraging timely testing and care.
-
Technical Training and Certification by Skill India: Drivers will undergo government-certified training and receive a certificate valued equivalent to a 12th-grade qualification. This certification is recognized in over 90 countries and helps with driving license renewal.
We urge all truck drivers in and around Indore to participate in this event on April 29 and 30 and become a part of this campaign. This opportunity will not only enhance their health and financial awareness but also guide them toward becoming respected and empowered citizens.
After Indore, the Highway Heroes Campaign will be organized in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, where drivers will be able to avail themselves of similar benefits. TV9 Network and Shriram Finance care deeply about the health and future of all truck drivers across the country — because they are the real heroes of our highways — they are Highway Heroes.
