Truck rams into car in ex-Jharkhand CM Champai Soren’s cavalcade, driver killed

Saraikela: A driver in former Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren’s cavalcade died after a truck rammed into the car on Tuesday night. The incident took place on Saraikela road near Mudiya village at around 2 am. Five other jawans in the ex-CM’s cavalcade are also seriously injured.

The deceased jawan, who was working as driver, was a resident of Chaibasa district. Later, the injured were shifted to Jamshedpur after primary treatment. The family of the deceased driver haven’t yet reached the Sadar Hospital in Saraikela, said a report in Aaj Tak online.

Champai Soren has reportedly rebelled against his party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) after his removal from the post of Jharkhand chief minister. There are speculations that he may join the BJP.

Champai was in Delhi for two days amid speculation that he may join the BJP. Meanwhile, he has said that his options are open and will decide his future course of action. He said he hasn’t yet talked to BJP.

After returning from Delhi, Champai Soren reached his residence at Saraikela. Later, his escort car met the accident in which the driver was killed.
