New Delhi: A corruption case has been filed against Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RK Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The Kolkata Police has registered the corruption case against the former head of the Kolkata hospital on the basis of a complaint filed by IAS officer Debal Ghosh.
Ghosh is already facing heat over the rape and murder of a woman trainee doctor at the state-run Kolkata hospital. The semi-nude body of the 31-year-old doctor was found in the seminar hall of the hospital on August 9. Ghosh, who resigned just two days after the incident, is presently being questioned by the CBI in connection with the case.
On Monday, CBI officers interrogated Ghosh for the fourth consecutive day. He has been grilled for several hours in the last three days by officers of the central probe agency.
