The accident occurred at 11:30 pm Indian time in Barcelos province, about 400 km away from Manaus, the capital of Amazonas. Brazil’s Civil Defense has confirmed all fatalities. The state governor, Wilson Lima, expressed condolences to the victims’ families and friends.
