New Delhi: We have gotten some pretty good cars throughout the year and it has been quite a great year for the automobile industry. There are a few more launches lined up for the last quarter of the year that are quite exciting. We have already seen cars from Mahindra, Tata and Maruti Suzuki set the stage on fire in 2024 and we expect the upcoming launches to do the same.
The sub-4m sedan segment is going to be the hot topic for the end of the year as the new generation Dzire and Amaze are both lined up for their launch and there are a few electric cars as well which will make its debut.
Top 5 Upcoming Car Launches
1. Mahindra XUV e8
The Mahindra XUV e8 will be the start of the new generation of electric SUVs from Mahindra and it will be based on an all-electric INGLO platform which has been specially developed for EVs. Size-wise, it will be similar to the XUV 7OO which is currently the flagship SUV in their lineup. Not many details are known of the vehicle yet in terms of its specs but we can expect Mahindra to provide an estimated range of around 500 kms.
2. Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is one of the most highly anticipated launches of 2024. It will be based on the new generation of the Swift but for the first time feature a completely new design compared to its hatchback counterpart. The new generation of the Dzire has already been spied a couple of times and we know that it will have LED lights all round, a sunroof and some distinct design elements. It will most likely be offered with the same 1.2L Z-Series NA petrol engine which produces 80.46 bhp and 112 Nm of torque paired to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The Dzire is slated for launch before the end of this year.
3. Honda Amaze
The Honda Amaze is the brand’s top seller and will receive a new facelift which will most likely make its debut in December. The Amaze has started feeling a little old and a new set of features and a new design will definitely freshen things up and help with sales for Honda. It will most likely continue with the same 1.2L i-VTEC engine which produces 88.5 bhp and 110 Nm of torque and is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The Amaze might also gain a new CNG variant which has been in demand for quite some time now.
4. Audi Q6 E-Tron
The Audi Q6 E-Tron recently made its global debut and will be a more affordable luxury EV when compared to other offerings by the German luxury brand. The Q6 is made on an all EV platform and will feature Audi’s new design language. It is loaded with all the features and will come with a few drivetrain options ranging from a base single motor variant which produces 288 bhp and all the way up to the SQ6 which will have dual motors and 510 bhp. We are expecting a sub-1 crore price tag from Audi for the Q6 E-Tron for its base variant.
5. Hyundai Tucson Facelift
The Hyundai Tucson Facelift has been a long time coming and the Tucson has already been updated in the international markets. The changes are minimal and it’s just a visual refresh which will have a new front grille, new LED DRLs, a set of new wheels and some new additions to the colour palette. It will most likely continue with the same drivetrain options which are the 2.0L NA Petrol engine and the 2.0L diesel engine. The former is paired with a 6-speed automatic while the latter comes with a new 8-speed automatic and can also be optioned with an AWD system.
