New Delhi: The voting for Delhi assembly elections for 70 seats ended today at 6 pm. The results will be declared on February 8. However, the exit poll figures attempt to a glimpse of the results and which party is leading in the race. Several agencies have released their projections after voting concluded for 70 assembly seats on Wednesday.
As per Today’s Chanakya Exit Poll, the (party name) is leading in Delhi with a handsome majority. However, the (second leading party) shows significant gains this time, while (third leading party) remains in a distant third position.

A total of 699 candidates are in the fray across 70 assembly seats. The election a bitter contest between ruling Aam Admi Party (AAP) and the Opposition BJP. The election campaign was also marred by serious allegations and counter allegations. Kejriwal had claimed that Haryana government was poisoning the Yamuna water being supplied to Delhi, a charge vehemently denied by Haryana government.
Even the Election commission had to intervene and demanded Kejriwal to provide basis for his allegations. Both AAP and BJP campaigned aggressively to gain power. BJP pushed it hard to make a comeback, while Congress hoped to regain lost ground.
Kejriwal’s AAP is contesting all 70 seats. While BJP has fielded candidates in 68 constituencies, leaving 2 seats for its allies (LJP in Deoli and JDU in Burari).
The city has a total of 1.56 crore voters, with 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh women. Around 1,267 belong to third-gender.
