Noida: Two persons were killed and more than 30 people were injured in separate road accidents in Noida and adjoining areas of western Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday due to low visibility brought on by smoggy conditions in the region.
On the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, a truck collided with another due to poor visibility. A bus travelling from Panipat to Mathura failed to spot the trucks and crashed into them from behind, leaving about a dozen passengers injured. The injured were promptly taken to hospital, while police arrived at the scene to clear the road.

Truck hits biker in Bulandshahr
Low visibility caused by dense smog led to multiple road accidents in Uttar Pradesh, claiming lives and injuring several people.
In Bulandshahr, a speeding truck rammed into a bike on National Highway 34, resulting in the death of Mansharam, a resident of Mainpuri. Police have taken the truck driver into custody.

The hazardous air quality in North India, including Delhi and the National Capital Region, has created a health emergency. With pollution levels in the ‘severe+’ category, dense smog has drastically reduced visibility and triggered complaints of sore throats, headaches, and breathing difficulties. Local authorities have urged residents to stay indoors and minimise exposure to the toxic air.
