New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, reaffirming that India is committed to establishing peace and stability in West Asia amid heightened tensions between Israel and Lebanon following the killing of Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasraullah.
During his telephonic conversation with Netanyahu, PM Modi also mentioned that terrorism has no place in the world and that preventing regional escalation and the safe release of hostages taken by Hamas in Gaza is crucial.
“Spoke to Prime Minister Netanyahu about recent developments in West Asia. Terrorism has no place in our world. It is crucial to prevent regional escalation and ensure the safe release of all hostages. India is committed to supporting efforts for an early restoration of peace and stability,” PM Modi wrote in a post on X.
