A stalker attacked a first-year degree college student with a knife after she rejected his proposal in Medak district of Telangana on Monday, Tv9 telugu reported.
The attack occurred in front of the gate of the government degree college in Medak. The woman who is pursuing her under graduation through open university, was at the college to give her examination. The man attacked her causing severe injuries to her right hand.
She was immediately rushed to the Medak government hospital. She was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment, reports said. Police are searching for the accused identified as Chetan alias Kiran, who is from Bengaluru. Town Inspector Nagaraju and ASI Ruksana inspected the incident site and collected details.
The police said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the family members and investigation is underway.
Two kids killed in road accident:
In a separate incident in the district on Sunday, four people including two children have been killed in a road accident when a motorcycle collided with a tractor in Potharum, Medak district.
