Bengaluru: A techie took to social media with a bizarre idea. Surprisingly, netizens thought his idea was worth implementing. A Bengaluru-based techie said that he is planning to create an app to rate and review potholes in the city. The post immediately gained traction and netizens had a lot to say.
Sivaramakrishnan Narayanan, the co-founder and CTO at Fyle, shared his sarcastic post on X, claiming that potholes too needed recognition. He also called for like-minded people to join him in his new venture. Narayanan stated, “Planning to build an app where we can rate and review potholes in Bengaluru. I recently saw a 7-star pothole and felt sad that it wasn’t getting the recognition it deserved. Who’s in?’”

Narayanan quickly took off, amassing several comments like netizens. Many called the idea “brilliant” and shared their inputs with the co-founder. One netizen opined that there should be a special mention for the “Pothole of the Month”. Another netizen suggested that the rating should be based on the damage caused by potholes to the tyres of vehicles.
“Been wanting to build a solid working mechanic/app for this since forever. Currently building a public data/media intelligence platform for India/world. Would love to work together/enable/support as possible,” said one netizen in the comments.
Meanwhile, some kept aside their sarcasm to mention their concerns seriously. While some mentioned the locations of dangerous potholes they had observed across the city, one netizen claimed that there should be an app to rate the services provided by governments.
