Chennai: After the successful launch of Fintech city, the Tamil Nadu government is now working on establishing TN-Tech city at Madhavaram near Chennai. Executed by Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) the TN-Tech City will come up on a 150-acre land parcel identified near Madhavaram. The city aims to attract global investments and will provide premium office spaces with social infrastructure and residential spaces. Apart from this, the project will house centers of excellence, and innovation hubs, and will also have a world-class convention center and a massive Data Centre.
Tamil Nadu’s New Tech City with new-gen Technologies on cards
The tech city is planned at a quantum of 150 acres next to the upcoming phase 2 metro line. It will focus on new-gen tech including a Centre of excellence in Data, AI, and Deep tech, and will attract investments in such niche sectors.
A 150-acre site near a new Metro Rail line and major highway has been identified. The project aims to attract global and domestic investments in IT, ITeS, GCC, Fintech, and Deeptech. In particular, the city will have facilities including schools, hospitals, an eco-park, a sports complex, road and metro connectivity services, uninterrupted electricity and water supply, piped cooking gas facility. There will also be facilities such as shopping malls, retail stores, hotels, and theaters.
Madhavaram to become IT destination
Also, a data center with state-of-the-art facilities will be set up here. The center will include state-of-the-art computing facilities, data storage facilities, multi-level data protection, data protection during disasters, high-speed Internet access, and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence. Also, a world-class convention center is to be set up in the city.
