Chennai: Five people were killed and four others survived with serious injuries in a head-on collision between a truck and a car on the Chennai-Tirupathi National Highway in Ramancheri area near Tiruthani on Sunday night.
The accident took place when eight people, including students from a private college in Chennai and the driver, were traveling in the car. Five people died on the spot. 4 others were rescued with serious injuries. Kanakamma Chatram police are investigating the matter.
KK Chatram Police said, five students died and two others were injured in an accident when a lorry collided with a car on the Chennai-Tirupati National Highway in Tiruvallur, near Thiruthani. The students belong to a private university. Investigation underway.
