Krishnagiri: The prime accused in the Krishnagiri fake NCC camp sexual assault case, Sivaraman, has died by suicide after consuming poison ¹. Additionally, his father passed away in a separate incident. Sivaraman was accused of sexually assaulting an eighth-grade girl at the fake camp, along with 10 other arrested individuals.
Fearing arrest a day before his arrest, Sivaraman attempted suicide by consuming rat poison paste and was admitted to Salem Government Medical College Hospital about two days ago. He died this morning by not responding to the treatment.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar, the father of Sivaraman as said to be humiliated and distraught after his son was arrested under the POCSO Act in a rape case. Ashok Kumar died in an accident while riding a two-wheeler in the Kaveripatnam area last night.
