Tamil Nadu CM urges PM to release SSA funds
Meanwhile, CM Stalin has urged the Prime Minister to immediately release overdue funds under the Samagra Shiksha scheme. In a letter, Stalin emphasized that withholding these funds—amounting to a first installment of Rs 573 crore—due to the state’s non-implementation of the National Education Policy undermines the state’s rights on a concurrent list subject and jeopardizes the education of millions of disadvantaged children. He called for swift action, noting that Samagra Shiksha is a crucial centrally sponsored scheme in the education sector.
