Forensic teams and the Achalganj police are conducting further probe into the incident, said Yash.
Mangesh Yadav was also killed in encounter with UP STF
This comes about 18 days after an STF had gunned down another accused, Mangesh Yadav, on September 5 in connection with the same robbery incident. The killing has led to massive war of words between ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party in the opposition.
While the Opposition accused BJP-led state government of indulging in selective killing of criminals based on their castes, the government accused Samajwadi Party of doing politics of the encounters.
Samajwadi Party says Anuj Pratap Singh encounter fake
Samajwadi Party spokesperson Udayveer Singh said that Anuj Pratap Singh was killed in fake encounter and questioned that what was Singh still doing at the area where he committed the crime almost a month ago? He said STF has tried to balance its by killing a ‘thakur’ as they had had gunned down a ‘Yadav’ previously.
