Mumbai: The share price of Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), NDTV, Birlasoft, Birla Corporation, AU Small Finance Bank, and United Spirits Ltd are expected to remain in news on October 24, 2024 (Thursday).
Hindustan Unilever share price
Hindustan Unilever Ltd on Wednesday declared its results for the second quarter ended in September 30, 2024. The FMCG major reported a 2.33 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,595 crore, while the company had registered a net profit of Rs 2,657 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago. In a regulatory filing, HUL informed that its revenue from product sales went up 2.36 per cent at Rs 15,703 crore. HUL’s brands include, Lipton and Horlicks, Pond’s, Lifebuoy, Lakmé, Brooke Bond, Surf, Rin, Lux.
“In the September quarter, FMCG demand witnessed moderating growth in urban markets, while rural continued to recover gradually. In this context, we delivered a competitive and profitable performance,” HUL CEO and Managing Director Rohit Jawa said.
NDTV share price
The shares of New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) are likely to remain in focus today after it declared its Q2 Results of 2024-25 and registered a consolidated net loss of Rs 53.45 crore as compared to consolidated net profit of Rs 5.55 crore in the second quarter of previous financial year. In its July-September quarter results, the news broadcaster recorded consolidated revenue from operations increased 16.5 per cent to Rs 111.32 crore. The company’s total expenses surged 76.25 per cent to Rs 164.76 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal.
Birlasoft, Birla Corp share price
In its July-September quarter results of 2024-25, Birlasoft recorded a 12.06 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 127.5 crore. The IT services and solutions provider’s revenue for the mentioned quarter stood at Rs 1,368.2 crore. Meanwhile, Birla Corporation reported that its Q2 net loss stood at Rs 25.2 crore while revenue was down 14.5 percent.
United Spirits share price
United Spirits Ltd declared its second quarter results of 2024-25 and reported a marginal increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 341 crore. The alcoholic beverages maker mentioned in a regulatory filing that its consolidated revenue from operations in the quarter under review was reported at Rs 6,672 crore, as against Rs 6,737 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses were lower at Rs 6,264 crore, it added.
“It is a muted quarter amidst a softer-than-expected demand environment,” United Spirits CEO & Managing Director Hina Nagarajan said.
AU Small Finance Bank share price
AU Small Finance Bank reported a 42 per cent surge in net profit at Rs 571 crore for the second quarter of 2024-25. The lender had recorded a net profit of Rs 402 crore in the same quarter of 2023-24. The bank’s total income increased to Rs 4,549 crore as compared to Rs 2,957 crore in the same period a year ago. The lender in its financials mentioned that its net interest income improved to Rs 1,974 crore in the July-September quarter, while the net interest margin increased to 6.1 per cent from 5.5 per cent in the quarter.
