Palamu: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda on Saturday said that his party is the only alternative to the ‘corrupt’ coalition government in the state led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Addressing an election rally in Jharkhand’s Palamu, Nadda pointed out that while several officials in the state government are currently in jail, the chief minister is himself ‘currently out on bail’.
“ The state govt is for corrupt. It has cheated the people of Jharkhand. The alliance government of JMM, Congress, and RJD promised employment, and also to work for the development of women, but did nothing. They only speak lies. This is the government that supports corruption. Tell me whether their officers are in jail or not.? Is Hemant himself on bail or not? Several INDIA bloc leaders are either in jail or on bail. They need to be sent home,” the BJP president added.
Naxals became active again in Jharkhand: JP Nadda
He further said, “The only alternative in Jharkhand is Lotus. When we were in power earlier, the naxalism was stopped in the state. But, they have again become active under the present regime. The double-engine government is needed in Jharkhand for the development of the state.

Talking about the steps the BJP will take for the people if it comes to power, Nadda added, “Under the Gogo Didi scheme, every woman will get Rs 2,100 per month. Under the Laxmi Johar Scheme, gas cylinders will be available for Rs 500 and two cylinders will be given free every year. Within five years, 2 lakh 87 thousand youth will be given government jobs and 5 lakh employment and self-employment opportunities will be created.”
During his speech, Nadda also touched on the achievements of the NDA Government under the leadership of PM Modi. “ Around 5 crore people have come out of poverty. The extreme poverty rate has also decreased to 1 percent. India is now in the second position in terms of steel manufacturing and fifth in automobile manufacturing across the globe. Airports have been built everywhere, railway infrastructure has been developed. Roads have been developed. Internet speed has increased even in Palamu. Congress used to say who will use the internet here,” Nadda said.
‘Jharkhand to get 10 more medical colleges’
Stressing about PM Modi’s special love for Jharkhand he added that all major schemes of the Centre were launched from this state only. Promising more medical colleges, he added, “Due to PM Modi, Jharkhand got 5 medical colleges. Ten more medical colleges will come up, including an AIIMS in Deoghar. People of the region won’t have to go to Delhi for any major treatment anymore.” The state will have a two-phase poll. While the first will be on November 13, the second will be on November 20. Results will be announced on November 23.
