New Delhi: It’s rare to find two Bollywood male superstars starring in an action film these days. Several directors have often deemed it impossible, to say the least. But thirty years back, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan made it possible with his action-drama Karan Arjun. The film starred two major actors of the generation, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and was a blockbuster at the Box Office. For the unversed, the film is clocking 30 years and Salman Khan announced the return of this iconic flick on his Instagram handle.
Karan Arjun release date
Taking to his Instagram, Salman wrote, “Raakhi ji ne sahi kaha tha film mein ki mere Karan Arjun aayenge… November 22 ko duniya bhar ke cinema gharon mein (Rakhi ji had said that her Karan Arjun would return, so this November 22 they will return nationwide in theatres from November 22)!”

Rakesh Roshan’s son and Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan also took to his Instagram to share the news of Karan Arjun’s re-release. The Dhoom 2 actor had worked as an assistant director for the film.
Karan Arjun cast
Apart from SRK and Salman, Karan Arjun also starred Rakhee Gulzar, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Ranjeet and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles. It was originally released in theatres on January 13, 1995. Made on a mere budget of Rs 6 crore, the film went on to collect Rs 48 crore at the Box Office. Notably, Karan Arjun was the second-highest-grossing film of 1995 after Shah Rukh Khan’s other iconic flick Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge.
The story of Karan Arjun revolves around two brothers – Karan and Arjun – who seek revenge on their paternal uncle (Amrish Puri) who killed their father. However, the two get killed by him and reincarnated to complete their vow years later.
